Fishing Trips!

Join us on our 28′ custom-built Willies Nemesis, built with you in mind, very spacious and comfortable along with a smooth ride if the water gets a little choppy.

  • Walleye – We like to fish for walleye and target walleye as much as possible. Any time we have a slump in the other fisheries we can usually count on picking up some good eating Columbia river gold.
  • Late winter early spring we target big fish
  • Late spring to early winter is a great time to put good eaters on the boat. 2024-2025 have been showing really good size fish 16-22″ on average.
  • Salmon – From spring to fall chinook
  • Spring – Mid March through April we start to target lower river springers mid march, chasing the fish either on the Columbia river or Willamette then moving up river with the fish to Wind River, Drano and The Dallas.
  • Fall – Mid July through October comes the famous Bouy10 fishery and the fall run chinook season. Starting in the big blue water and following the salmon and coho into the Columbia River.
  • 2025 we are planning on working the ocean mid July (16th) for Chinook and Coho then moving into the river when it opens for the first couple weeks of August (16th) Lipstick Salmon Slayers Tournament should be my last day in Astoria before we start pushing up river away from the select fishery.
  • Brewster Sockeye is definitely on the table in 2025
  • Sturgeon – Is a closely monitored fishery for retention with very limited opportunity if I am booked I will lead you in the right direction. We do offer catch and release year round with the summer months chasing oversize fish. With sturgeon being a true passion for me the Willies was set up with big fish in mind.

What to Expect

Our full-day Fishing Trip lasts about 8 hours and begins just before sunrise. Your guide will provide directions for where to meet, as we have access to many ramps and docks we use to launch, depending on what body of water we plan to fish.

We provide all the gear required for your angling adventure. At the end of the day, we process and clean any game fish you’ve kept so you can take it home for your dinner.

If you’re new to angling, we will teach all the techniques you may need to have a fun, adventure-filled day on the water.

What to Bring

Hydration & Beverages:

Bottled water is always available on the boat. You can bring your own food and drinks if you desire. We have a Yeti full of ice to store cold beverages.

UV Protection:

We do recommend UV suncreen protection, either UV clothing or sunscreen for day trips, as temperatures on the water can easily reach triple digits. Bug spray can be helpful during days with light or no wind.

Sunglasses:

Polarized sunglasses are a must for bowfishing, to aid in seeing the fish through water glare.

Layered Clothing:

Dress and clothing should be in layers for rapidly changing weather conditions. Warm layered clothing can more easily be removed when not needed; if you don’t bring it, being cold is no fun. The weather in the Pacific Northwest can swing between extremes, especially on full-day trips. We recommend being prepared, including wind breakers and light rain gear.

Fishing License:

Last, and very important: you need to supply your fishing license. Oregon requires a fishing license for all fishing activities. Please click the link below to purchase your fishing license prior to showing up for your fishing adventure.
